Editor Overview
Understand the Make Page visual editor — your main tool for building pages.
The visual editor
The Make Page editor is a visual, drag-and-drop page builder. What you see is what your visitors will see. No code is required — everything is controlled through point-and-click interactions.
Editor layout
The editor is divided into two areas:
- Canvas — the live page preview in the center. Click any element to select and edit it.
- Side panel — on the right. Tabs let you switch between the component library, style controls, settings, and layers.
Toolbar
The top toolbar gives you access to undo/redo, preview mode, device size toggles, and the Publish button. Use the device toggles to see how your site will look on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Selecting and editing components
Click any component on the page to select it. A purple outline appears showing the selection. Once selected, you can:
- Edit text content directly by double-clicking
- Adjust properties in the side panel (colors, spacing, alignment)
- Drag the component to reorder it on the page
- Delete the component using the toolbar that appears above it
Drag and drop
Open the Blocks tab in the side panel and drag components onto your page. An insertion line shows where the component will land. You can also rearrange existing components by dragging them to a new position.
